Alex is a professional guitar player and guitar tutor based in Mosta, Malta. He has been involved in a number of high-profile musical festivals and played with an impressive number of artists and bands among which are Ira Losco, The Characters, Limestone Kick, Coven, Red Electrick, Matthew James and Ant in Alaska.

He has been giving guitar lessons on a professional full-time basis, courses for Acoustic, Electric Guitar and Ukelele since 2004. With so many years of teaching experience in the professional world of music and specifically guitar playing,  Alex is able to guide and mentor prospective students, singers and groups, on how to prepare, perfect, present and perform (the 4Ps) both on a live stage and  recording studio.

In 1994  as a founding member and guitar player with Limestone Kick, released  'A million a day' the band's Debut Album. 

For the last 20 years he has been involved and instrumental on practically all of Ira Losco's Live Band Shows and Studio  Album recordings - mostly on acoustic guitar. He  features on 'Accident Prone', 'Unmasked', 'Fortune Teller', 'The Fire' and double album 'No Saint No Sinner'.

In 2005,  Alex toured extensively with Ira's band,  in Germany, supporting major artists including Elton John, Katie Melua, Simple Minds, Ronan Keating, Mel C, Jimmy Sommerville, Nena, Sohne Mannhiems, Silbermond and many great local acts.

Locally, the band also supported amazing artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Duran Duran, Maroon 5, Bob Geldof,  Rod Stewart, Gigi D'Alessio, Max Gaze and more.

The main aim, at Stringer Guitar Studio is to tutor and mentor aspiring guitarists to adapt to this demanding, but rewarding career in the Performing Arts.
